The crepuscular hour

January 17

Printmaking today. Rather grey outside but the fire is lit and it is very cosy indoors. This is an etching on steel of the water meadows at Minsmere and someone enjoying the fire.

Monotype printmaking

Some of the work in progress of a series of flower monotypes.

The Glazebrook, Dartmoor

Just finished the drypoint plate from the drawings I did at the weekend. Havn’t printed it yet. Here is a not very good picture.

Went up the Glazebrook yesterday afternoon, bright autumn sunshine and very warm. Am now attempting a drypoint and monotype from sketches that I did.MVI_0326 – Broadband

Am doing a series of larger landscape drypoints based on large charcoal drawings done this summer in Minsmere, Suffolk. The first picture is the negative drypoint plate and the second is pulling the first print on the press.
