Front House is a spacious Georgian house in the small market town of Bovey Tracey in Devon. The town lies on the south eastern edge of the Dartmoor National Park beside the river Bovey and there are a great many wood and moorland walks within easy reach. Bovey Tracey is the home of The Devon Guild of Craftsmen and their gallery shop and restaurant is within a few minutes walk.
There are five en-suite bedrooms at Front House, four with bath and one with shower. Four of the rooms have double beds and one has twin beds. All are available for single or double occupation. The excellent food is all freshly cooked and the produce locally sourced where possible. The food is mostly vegetarian, with the addition of fresh fish. Home made cakes, freshly ground coffee, home made preserves and good wine all add to the warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. There is a grand piano which welcomes pianists of any level and if other musicians bring instruments, musical evenings and the occasional country dancing might take place.
There is limited parking at Front House. Additional parking can be found a short walk away in Mary Street, where there is a daily charge of £2.50. The nearest railway station is Newton Abbot, which is approximately twenty minutes away There is a good train service from London Paddington. The nearest airport is Exeter.
