These superb archival digital prints have been made to the very highest standards of colour accuracy, longevity and stability. They are printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Ragpaper, which is a smooth, archival, matt, 100% cotton watercolour paper, 310 gsm in weight. This paper is extremely age resistant and its smooth surface is ideal for archival printing of watercolour reproductions.
The particular ink combination used is colour fast from 75 – 125 years when framed and glazed. No expense has been spared in making these reproductions as close as possible to the original paintings. The subtlety of the colour, particularly in the blacks and in the shadow detail is phenomenal. Each reproduction is numbered and signed by the artist.
These are all handmade, hand printed, original works, they are not reproductions of existing paintings. Etching and Drypoint are both forms of intaglio print. An etching is made by the use of metal dipped into acid, and a drypoint by the scoring of marks on to metal or plastic without the use of acid. An edition is printed of the image and the results from etching and drypoint can be similar.
A monotype is a unique print, i.e., there is only one of them. An image is made on a surface, in Rosie’s case with rollers, rags, brushes, or sticks on to plastic, and the image is passed through the press. The ink is transferred on to the paper. Occasionally there is sufficient ink remaining on the plate and a ‘ghost print’ can be made and worked on to make a separate unique print. It is not possible to replicate a monotype.

Each print has a 1 inch border all round and the sizes given includes the border. Prices are for un-mounted and unframed prints. Prints will be wrapped in acid free tissue and rolled in a tube for postage.
